Epke zonderland will begin Wednesday in the Polish Sczescin at the european CHAMPIONSHIPS artistic gymnastics on the hunt for his first European title on the high bar since 2014. The Fries feels after a number of heavy World Cups ready for what he sees as the first peak of 2019.
“Emotionally, the european CHAMPIONSHIPS, a tournament where I was the past few months going have worked,” says zonderland will be in conversation with the NIS. “Here, I want to be at my best. Actually, that’s pretty crazy, because unlike the World Cups is nothing on the game.”

‘Calm address is a number one priority’
At the last World Cup in Doha at the end of march ended zonderland will be the seventh, partly because he during his exercise fell. “When I fell, I noticed that I was tired. It was a quite heavy process. In between there was little time to get really good training,” said the olympic champion of 2012.
“The goal after the last World Cup was also to have a few days to come. You need to rest and pick up there on top. If you do not fit, you may also not perform. Rest is priority number one.”
Zonderland will be conquered in his career so far, two European titles on the high bar (2011 and 2014), but has good hope that he would be there this week in Poland, one add. “This is the most important moment of this period. The european CHAMPIONSHIPS artistic gymnastics are Wednesday through Sunday, held in Poland. Zonderland will come Wednesday afternoon in action in the qualification, just as Casimir Schmidt and Bram Louwije. The women work Thursday qualifying. The finals are on the weekend on the program.
