Hakim Ziyech was Sunday quite satisfied about his debut match in the shirt of Ajax. The FC Twente became champions and had an assist as a great share in the narrow thuiszege of February-Vitesse (1-0).

“I’m happy with my assist. I give myself a 6.5 for this match. The supporters may be at least a 8 expect,” said Ziyech for the camera of FOX Sports.

The right-winger-drafted international of Morocco knew to say in advance healthy tension. “As the kick-off got closer, I felt something coming on. But once we had started, everything went off.”

Ziyech admitted that he is an unhappy first half played. “We were all there for peace not comfortable in. We had difficulty with Vitesse, also because they are increasingly the second ball managed to win. In addition, we were sloppy in the passing, including myself. In the end, I think, more opportunities created and won.”

Ziyech, Ajax eleven million took, was of the opinion that his new club, especially after the red card: Arnold Kruiswijk better for the day came. “After that red card was the game basically played. I found the ball tempo on our side, anyway, after resting a bit higher than before the break. We were also given enough chances to make the 2-0. We had it previously must decide.”

Bosz

Ajax coach Peter Bosz was relieved. “Winning is the best medicine. So in that respect I can be satisfied. This we needed.”

The players of the Amsterdammers felt according to Bosz pressure after the failed performances of earlier this season for his home crowd against Roda JC (2-2) and Willem II (1-2). “I can say that they are not nervous, but the pressure and nerves go only away if they continue to win. Then we will go more guts and dare to show, then we’re going to be better and play freely.”

“In the first half members, we too often unnecessarily losing the ball” said Bosz. “We came so hard at the football. After the 1-0 it went better, we were more likely to score. The victory we needed. It can and should be better. But that is also going to happen.”
