Ziggo sees the number of customers grow again after a bad period

After a period of shrinkage has Ziggo customer traffic at the end of 2016 again seen a steep rise.

The provider got there 56.000 internet customers and 12,000 fixed callers, as the company Thursday announced in its quarterly results.

The number of people that television is declining decreased, with 17,000, but that was the lowest number since the middle of 2014. The average Ziggo customer in the past year in addition a 3% pay more: more than 46 euros per month.

About the year 2016, the number of subscriptions at Ziggo still down by nearly 28,000. In 2015 there were more than 200,000.

The turnover decreased in the fourth quarter of 2016, with 1.8 per cent to converted to 622 million euro. Also throughout the year, there was a slight decline in sales.

On the 31st of december, Ziggo and the Dutch branch of Vodafone formally to one company: VodafoneZiggo. In the future, the two providers jointly, a subscription offering that includes both fixed and mobile services are included. That should make for stronger competition with KPN, the Dutch provider with a fixed and mobile network.
