YouTube prankster arrested after live streaming fake bomb threat at the University of Washington, police say

A man that is supposed to be a YouTube prankster who goes by the name “Arab Andy” was Thursday arrested after he is online to see a fake bomb threat in a classroom at the University of Washington in Seattle, police said.

Officials said the unknown man, went to the class that a mobile phone and played a recording message that said: “C4 is activated. Bomb explosion countdown starts.”

Click on Detroit reported the YouTuber, who also used the name “ISIS, Poseidon,” was to record his every move on YouTube Live and twitch. Police will not confirm that the man was broadcasting live.

The people in the room fled the classroom before a loud explosion sounds were heard from the recording. The fire alarm was activated by someone in the classroom for the University of Washington Police responded to the scene, authorities said in a press release.

The police arrested the man on charges of making a bomb threat discovered in a research that it is a joke and “there was no device on him or left in the room. His name has not been released.

“We were at a reception in our hall, listening to our chair to talk about our years worth of things,” a faculty member told The Daily, the school newspaper.

“Then this man, who was about six foot-one comes in the doorway and says:” I’m sorry I’m late,’ and I did not recognize him, so I say, ‘you have to be here?'” the staffer continued. The faculty member said the defendant played the fake bomb threat record.

Students and teachers told Q13 Fox that they waited more than an hour to get the all-clear to go back in the building.

The International Business Times reported “Arab Andy” has three YouTube channels with a few thousand subscribers. The subscribers can make a donation to the “Arab Andy” during his livestreams. YouTube removed the live stream from the website due to the violation of the terms of service.
