So you are not imagining it, and now Apple is the admission.
Earlier this week, Primate Labs, the company behind GeekBench, reported that processors in the older iPhones slow down and the performance suffers as the batteries age and capacity losses. Problems worsen if the charge is too low or in the cold, the report added.
Some iPhone users had complained about the phenomenon, and Wednesday Apple admitted that since last year, iOS software included power management capabilities that slow down the system when it is in danger of shutting down completely.
Last year, the software change affect the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, 6S 6S Plus, and SE. This year is the iOS 11.2 extended the possibility of the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus.
It will also be applied to other Apple devices in the future.
