Youp van ‘t Hek awarded VSCD Award
Youp van ‘t Hek has the VSCD-Award received for his work as a comedian. The prize is awarded by the schouwburgdirecteuren of the Netherlands.
The award was announced in the tv-program DWDD. Van ‘t Hek had hoped ever to qualify for the prize. “I told Hans (the manager of Van ‘t Hek, red): I might be that award want to win. I am very honored. I think it will be fun,” says the comedian is in the program.
According to the DUTCH-board Van ‘t Hek made an important contribution to the success of cabaret at the end of the last century.
The full jury report will be marked in the publication and distribution of the Cabaretprijzen of the VSCD in Theater Diligentia in Den Haag on 25 september.
The price is not annually distributed. He was previously, among others, won by Frans Brüggen (2007), Freek de Jonge (2008) and Joop van den Ende (2011).
