Young Enschedeërs lights Marketplace-customers for more than 200,000 euros on
The criminal investigation department in Twente has five people are held on suspicion of defrauding via the internet, cybercrime, identity fraud and money laundering.
The four men in of 23, 23, 21, and nineteen years and a young woman of seventeen, all from Enschede. They are Monday afternoon arrested and are still stuck.
The arrests followed months of rechercheonderzoek as a result of over 400 declarations from the Netherlands. The police estimated the total damages that the defendants caused more than 200,000 euros.
The declarants were the victim of a form of fraud where so-called potential buyers Marketplace, sellers of goods approached. During this contact, did the ‘buyers’ codes of bankapp on mobile phones in their hands. They obtained this access to will. The money they seized, and disappeared to other bank accounts or was used for the purchase of expensive goods.
The research is still in progress and more arrests are not ruled out.
