Wrong-way driver accused of intentionally ramming police cars

HARRISBURG, Pa. – Police say a man intentionally rammed into two police cars, pushing with his pick-up truck and asks an officer to shoot at his vehicle.

Steven A. Polischeck was charged Thursday with assault and other offences.

Police say the Boyertown man had been driving the wrong way on heavily traveled sections of highway, hit other cars.

The police says he deliberately collided with a police car and pushed more than 100 feet (30 meters) with his truck. A soldier shot dead in his car.

He is accused of then ramming into a second cruiser before the police arrested him.

A police statement says Polischeck had “disjointed thoughts” when officers tried to interview him.

He is in jail, unable to post $200,000 bail. There is no lawyer registered, and a phone list cannot be found.
