Writing new music helped Kesha through a difficult time
Her new album Rainbow reminds Kesha in mind that they in difficult times can always fall back on her music.
That writes the singer, whose album Friday officially appeared, in an essay on Refinery29. The album leaked earlier this week.
The 30-year-old Kesha left at the start of 2014 to include in a clinic due to an eating disorder. They had the personnel there to beg an instrument to play. When she eventually an hour per day keyboard could play, she decided that time to devote to creating a new record.
“Writing music is my only outlet in difficult times”, writes Kesha. “The ideas for this album and the tour came from my cry, play, sing and dream in that one hour, until they my keyboard again afpakten. Every day was crying and I played, because I knew that I through that difficult time had to come.”
Especially the writing of the title song, Rainbow, gave Kesha her own words power. “That was the beginning of a new period, in which I learned well for myself. It reminds me that I can handle anything. I hope that this song of hope and confidence develops, because those are things that everyone deserves.”
Rainbow is Kesha’s first album in four years. The singer could long time, no music release, because they are in a lawsuit embroiled with her former producer Dr. Luke. She accuses him of emotional and sexual abuse and refuses, therefore, to work with him, in spite of a still ongoing contract.
