Woman, sons accused of bringing meth from Texas and Georgia

NORCROSS, Georgia. – A woman and her two sons are accused of transporting meth from Texas to Atlanta-area home.

News outlets report warrants for the 56-year-old San Juana Barrera, the 37-year-old Alex Perez and 32-year-old Cresencio Perez say they drove more than 400 grams of meth hidden in their SUV’s tires on Jan. 25.

Gwinnett County police T. C. Joseph says Cresencio Perez said he brought his mother to rebut the presumption. Barrera said during a hearing she did not know that her sons were transporting drugs. All three are charged with drug trafficking.

The researchers found what the DEA estimates if $1 million in crystal meth and liquid meth in the Norcross home.

Lawyer Michael Marr says agents could not know how much meth was in before the family arrived.

No other arrests have been made.
