A woman met her estranged husband at a Louisiana Walmart and then shot him to death in front of their three children, police said Saturday.
The victim died of a gunshot wound in the chest, Alexandria, Police said. His name was used by the police.
Kayla Coutee, 31, of Alexandria, was indicted for murder.
A report of shots fired sent officers to the Walmart in Alexandria Saturday morning, police said.

“The victim was identified as Coutee the man, of whom she had a meeting to exchange custody,” police said.
The transfer of the children was in “the outer part” of the parking lot, police said.
“There were three children present at the time of the shooting,” police said. “No one injured.”

They were later released to the custody of other family members.
Coutee was held in the local prison.
The man was given CPR when police arrived, the City of Alexandria Talk newspaper.
