A woman was killed and two others injured when a man ran to the group of people with his truck, police said.
The driver plowed into the group around 2:15 pm on Telephone Road in Houston, according to police. Witnesses told the police that she saw the driver speed into the crowd, hitting a woman and two men, KHOU reported. He then allegedly went to a backup, running the woman again.
HPD homicide investigators respond to a scene in the 5200 block of Telephone Road. Suspect drove into a small crowd of people fleeing the scene. A person is dead, others are transported to hospitals.

The police came on the spot and spoke to the woman’s death. The two men were taken to the hospital. One of them suffered a broken leg, KHOU reported.

Rigoberto Alex Escobar, believed to be in his mid-30s, was identified as a person of interest in deadly hit-and-run. The driver is believed to be the ex-boyfriend of the woman who was killed.
Authorities say the suspect fled the scene in a silver or gray Ford F-150 license plate GTJ 7424, police said.
