The NYPD is on the lookout for a man who is the alleged rape of a woman in New York City. Anyone with information about the identity of this man, call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-8477.

The police are on the hunt in New York City on Wednesday for a man who allegedly raped a woman who got lost and asked for directions.

The 31-year-old woman from Yonkers, a city that is 15 miles north of Manhattan in the Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood at around 1 a.m. on Sunday when she asked a man to help with the navigation.

Instead of helping her, the man allegedly grabbed the woman by the arm and pulled her down to the basement of a building on West 51st Street and began to rape her, WABC-TV reported.

The alleged suspect then fled the scene, leaving the woman with bruises. She was admitted to the hospital and is in stable condition.

A Surveillance video posted online on Tuesday by the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers unit’s show, the suspect is walking to a sidewalk wearing a white T-shirt with dark pants and shoes.
