Woman claims United Airlines paid her $75 ‘hush money’ after man masturbating next to her for ‘hours’

A woman claims United paid her $75 after a man beside her brought the flight to masturbate.

A woman on a United flight from Orange County, California. to Chicago claims that the man next to her masturbating for “hours” and the airline do not report it to law enforcement.

Mikaela Dixon, 21, was traveling with her friend on August 11, when she noticed that the man inappropriately touching himself.

“My bf was asleep in the window seat, I’m in the middle, and the man in the aisle. I had no idea what to do, I couldn’t get to christ, I didn’t want to go anywhere near him,” she tweeted about the incident that gave her the “worst panic attack of [her] life.”

Dixon went on to say that she could not warn the supervisor, without the man finding out, so they had to wait until he his chair. “I sat there shaking until he stood up to go to the toilet as we landed,” she wrote.

After reporting the incident, an american flight attendant moved Dixon to another row and reportedly told her the airline had contacted the local police.

When the man “screwed” out of the plane, Dixon claims that he was detained and escorted to the airport. When she inquired about what would happen to him, Dixon said the airline refused to tell her and instead gave her $ 75 “hush money.”

Dixon later learned the passenger had been released and then she called the Police in Chicago, they told her that they had not been warned for the incident.

Officer Michael Carroll told BuzzFeed News that they received a 911 call from a citizen, not the airline, and that the man in question had already left when an officer arrived on the scene.

“They were desperately trying to keep it internal,” Dixon told BuzzFeed. “In principle, United lied about everything, let the man go after a few questions, and refused to involve law enforcement, until I called the police me and forced them to file a report w [sic] the FBI,” she tweeted.

A spokesman of United told Fox News they are “investigating the matter to learn more about what happened.”

“The safety and well-being of our customers is our top priority. Our customer was immediately moved to another seat when the flight attendants were made aware of the problem and the plane was met by our security personnel.

“Although United Airlines, as a company, not at the expense of our customers by name, we will as much help as possible from the law enforcement officials they have to investigate this matter further,” the spokesman of the airline said.

This is not the first time that a passenger has claimed they have witnessed inappropriate behavior on a flight. In May, a woman, said the man next to her on a Southwest flight from Las Vegas to Philadelphia to masturbate during the duration of the trip and they had to tweet the airline to alert them of the situation.

After reporting the incident, the woman said, the airline offered a dinner voucher. A spokesman for Southwest said at the time that they are still investigating the matter, although the woman said that they never contact her directly.
