SPARTANBURG, S. C. – A sheriff says a woman on a chain in a container for two months by a serial killer will get the $25,000 reward for help to solve a quadruple murder after almost 13 years.
Spartanburg County Sheriff Chuck Wright told reporters the woman is the reason deputies were able to arrest Todd Kohlhepp in November.
The 46-year-old former real estate agent pleaded guilty Friday to seven murders murders in more than 13 years and was sentenced to life without parole.
Wright says while the woman was handcuffed and raped in the last autumn, Kohlhepp told her the details, but the murderer knew about four people shot at a Spartanburg County motorcycle dealership in 2003.
Prosecutors say the woman told authorities that data into an ambulance after her rescue.
