The plaintiffs claim that public funding of the Malaysian state fund 1MDB is used for all kinds of products to buy, but also to the black comedy by Martin Scorsese (Wolf of Wall Street is to finance. Red Granite, the production company behind the film, replied that there never illegal funds are used for the funding of Wolf of Wall Street. One of the founders of the company, however, is the stepson of the Malaysian prime minister, under whom the state fund saw the light of day.
1MDB was established in 2009 to the economy of Malaysia to support, but is associated with controversy and debt. Money from the fund would be used to be a Van Gogh, two Monet’s, a private jet, properties in London, New York and California and a hotel to buy. (JVDV)
