The image appeared in the international news coverage of politics around the world. The New York Daily News Sanchez on the cover of its June 16 edition with the headline: “Callous. Soulless is. Craven. Trump card.”

CNN analyst Chris Cillizza wrote a whole article on the TIME cover: “it shows the compassion gap between the Trump-government, the” zero-tolerance ” policy, and the real-life people who are affected.”

Activists, legislators and journalists have accused the administration of running a “internment camp”, while Trump administration officials have had their phone numbers revealed, online, and distributed to the restaurants.
