Former museumbaas Wim Pijbes has a new job. He has been appointed director of the Foundation for the Dream and Deed. This Foundation wants to Rotterdam more attractive through the promotion of art and culture in the city.
Pijbes was the director of the Kunsthal in Rotterdam, the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam and, very briefly, of Museum Voorlinden in Wassenaar.

Who the family is and how big the fund is, wants Pijbes not say. But the foundation is “decisive”. She is in for all forms of art: music, theatre, dance, architecture, film, literature and visual art. “We are investing in culture for everyone; from Pietje Bell to Erasmus,” says Pijbes.
