Willems leave PSV eindhoven and sign for four years at Eintracht Frankfurt

Jetro Willems leaves final at PSV and continued his career at Eintracht Frankfurt, so have both clubs Friday confirmed. Reportedly pay the German club seven million euros for the 23-year-old defender.

Willems, who until mid-2021 draw in Frankfurt, left Sunday, but the training camp of PSV in Switzerland in order to conclude the negotiations. His contract with the number three of the Premier league ran for another year.

The full-came in 2011 from Sparta Rotterdam and captured even at a young age, a move to PSV. He played 144 Eredivisiewedstrijden for PSV and was 22 times for the Dutch national team.

“I really wanted to go to a club that will give me a good perspective and that I play to come”, says Willems at the site of his new German employer. “I have good conversations with the board and the trainer, and I am convinced that I at Eintracht Frankfurt the next step in my career.”

At Eintracht Frankfurt, Willems team member of, among others, Jonathan de Guzman and Sebastian Haller. They came this summer, respectively, Napoli and FC Utrecht.

Willems was the last years more often associated with a foreign transfer, but this summer he spoke only clear that he is ready for the next step. With Frankfurt, he opted for the number eleven from the last Bundesliga season.
