Will Smith celebrated his 50th birthday on Tuesday by bungee jumping over the Grand Canyon.
Will Smith, with his hands on his head and a grin on his face, described bungee jumping from a helicopter over the Grand Canyon Tuesday as nothing less than “spectacular.”
The actor decided to ring in his 50th birthday with the exciting feat after a dare has been issued to him earlier this year by the YouTube group, Yes Theory, Different reported. Smith allegedly decided to take part to help promote awareness for Global Citizen’s education efforts.
And Smith is his YouTube page for the stream of the experience for the world to see.

The shouts of the spectators on the ground, and apparently Smith’s own, were heard as he flew through the air.
The video showed a close-up shot of Smith’s family and friends, including former co-star Alfonso Ribeiro, cheering him on. The same hope later hugged him, after that he was back on the ground.
“Nothing. Nothing will ever be scarier than that. It goes from the full, absolute terror to the most wonderful bliss you have ever felt in your life,” Smith said, before quipping about the fact that “luckily, the cord worked.”
“And I don’t know what it is, when the cord is working – first of all, you are happy the cord worked, right. Then it is as if the entire Grand Canyon is mine,” he said. “I’m just a little hang out there and the choppers are far away, you’re not really hearing it, it is just bliss and it’s like no one will ever be that image. It’s like me and the Grand Canyon, it is just that combination. It is almost as if you need fear in order to experience the bliss.”

The actor took to Instagram in the hours before the jump, sharing a photo of his “team.” Some commenters seized on the moment to wish him a happy birthday, while another said they were the “coolest family.”
