A wrong-number text was double-heart-warming results of the previous week. It all started when a woman by the name of Syd texted a photo of himself in a dress, apparently looking for advice—but not the person she intended to send it.
Instead of just ignoring or telling her she had the wrong number, though, the man who received the text sent back a picture of five of his children laughing and giving thumbs-up signs, MSN reports.
“I believe this message is meant for someone else,” he wrote. “My wife is not at home, so I couldn’t get her opinion, but the children and I think you look stunning in your dress! You should definitely go with that!!” The text exchange went viral after a friend of Syd’s posted on Twitter.
After it was revealed that Tony Wood of Missouri is the father had sent, of the kind of reaction, it was discovered that his wife was not at home, because she was with the couple’s sixth child, Kaizler, in the hospital.
The 6-year-old is battling leukemia, and after the text story went viral, people began to donate to the family’s GoFundMe campaign. As of this writing, it had led to almost four the $10,000 goal, and an update on the page, thanks everyone for their support: “God continues to show us that He is there for us and it is great to see how love move! … Our needs to get back on our feet have met! We can’t thank you enough, but further donations are not necessary!” Tony Wood also tweeted a photo of Kaizler giving Syd his own thumbs-up.
