The Trump administration, and the President of the constituent Committee, said on Thursday that it had reported no knowledge of an investigation by Federal prosecutors, whether the Committee wasted the money she raised to swear on stage with Trump-in the last year.
The Wall Street Journal reported, to investigate the U.S. attorney’s office in Manhattan was in the early stages of the probe, whether the big-money donors gave money to the Committee in the hope of access to — or impact — the management or the policy of concessions.
According to the paper, the investigation as part of the Federal investigation of Michael Cohen, Trump’s former personal attorney was part of the materials seized. These materials contain a conversation between Cohen and a one-time adviser to Melania Trump, the concerns about how the first Committee to spend money was.
In a statement, the said inaugural Committee, it was “not aware of any ongoing investigations and has not been contacted by any state attorneys. We simply have no evidence that the investigation is not present.”

The Committee said its finances “have been fully tested internally and independently and are fully taken into account. The journal reported that the state hired lawyers, Rick Gates, Trump, the one-time Deputy campaign Manager and Deputy Chairman of the first Committee, the information about the first Fund, with expenditures and donors. Earlier this year, Gates pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy against the United States and one count of making false statements to FBI agents. Last month, Special Counsel Robert Mueller, a Federal judge said in a court filing that Gates was in collaboration with the “several ongoing investigations” and could not yet be convicted.

In all, the Trump inaugural Committee $raised 107 million, more than double the previous record of $53 million for Barack Obama’s first inauguration in 2009.
