The fighters commandeered part of the people’s climate March in Portland, Oregon, says the journalist, Andy Ngo, which was attacked by Antifa at a June rally.

Antifa, the far-left militant movement that calls itself “anti-fascist” has no defined organizational hierarchy or membership. The collection of Autonomous antifa groups in of the most left wing cities sees itself as a descendant of the European anti-Nazi movements, and, in General, agree that the best way to combat ideas that you find repugnant is not by speech or discussion, but through direct action and physical confrontation.

The first modern antifa group traces its roots back to Portland, Ore., in the year 2007, and more than a decade later that the city has proven to have a breeding ground for many of the antifa members, preferred activities: threat and violently attacked journalists, said that all police officers should be killed or at least fired, wearing dark clothing and ski masks, the obscure sometimes your artificially colored hair, and even engaging in performative confrontations with right-wing groups to dull the monotony of typical suburban life.

Antifa was present during the infamous and deadly August 2017 “, Together with the rights” rally in Charlottesville, Va. In the event it came to violent clashes between white supremacists of a group of persons, against the removal of a Confederate statue, and left groups. In a touching moment captured on video, a neo-Nazi went on to kill a car into a crowd of counter protesters,.

President Trump quickly white advocates condemned the domination of a group, where he notes that not everyone protesting against the statue removal was not necessarily a neo-Nazi or white supremacy. But his comments were widely misinterpreted, than to praise of the refinement of white to the domination of a group, electroplating antifa and the increase of its dynamics.

Violent Episodes

The following is one of the many clashes between antifa and right-wing groups, Trump tweeted that in the past year, “the important consideration is the naming ANTIFA is an” ORGANIZATION of TERROR.'” However, antifa has remained one of the most visible and violent left-wing groups in the United States.

Although a number of videographers and reporters have covered antifa, the Portland-based independent journalist Andy Ngo has perhaps the most extensive documented attacks by self-proclaimed antifa, members of the journalists, police officers and other antifa members and left-wing Supporters.

Last June, the Ngo was attacked by the antifa, during their confrontation with the far right to be Proud of young group, and suffered a brain injury.

“During today’s events, there were reports of several robberies, as well as projectiles and thrown at protesters and officers,” the police said in a statement, according to the Ngo ‘ s injury. “There were also reports of pepper spray, bear spray is used by people in the crowd. Provided officers pepper spray during the incident. There were reports of people throwing ‘milk shake’ mixed with a substance that was similar to a quick-drying cement. A subject was arrested for throwing a substance during the incident.”

Ngo told Fox News that Trump the efforts of antifa terror group “will provide a framework for local authorities and, especially, Federal authorities at the beginning of the investigation of this criminal cartel, that the street thugs that they are.”

“In addition to street hooliganism, which we see over and over on the streets of America, this movement also has a political ideology, is added to the stirring for a violent political revolution,’ Ngo.

A few weeks later, a Person who said he was updated in connection with antifa of cement to Molotov cocktails and an AR-15, as he led an attack on a national immigration system in the U.S. state of Washington. Willem Van Spronsen, 69, was shot quickly by the reaction of the authorities.

Calls for reform

Top Republicans, including Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, sought a Federal investigation of the episode, namely Portland mayor and police are incompetent and not to a sufficient level of protection of citizens ‘ civil rights.

Sen. Bill Cassidy, R-La., to take Cruz joined in the promotion of Federal legislation antifa.

“Would law enforcement authorities more tools to use more permissions tools, against the antifa. Antifa in the West Coast, where it began spreading in different cities. Their intimidating tactics should be stopped, where you are, and to not spread allowed,” Cassidy said on “Fox & Friends”.

Local authorities, meanwhile, have shown little interest in the matter.

“We are not come to, and sure,” the police said, by a journalist last week as anti-fascist fighters chased him with pepper spray.

Portland Police Association President Daryl Turner released a statement last year after a flareup of the antifa violence, blame Portland mayor Wheeler for the lack of enforcement and say: the mayor needs to ” remove the handcuffs from our officers and let them stop the violence by the strong and swift enforcement.”

In response, Wheeler distanced himself from the responsibility for the police response to antifa and took a shot at Cruz for calling for the feds to step in.

“I thought it was a United States senator,” Wheeler, the outlet said. “The truth is, I was not here. I was not even in the United States. I was with my family in Ecuador on a wildlife tour.”

He added: “One of the things I want the public to know that it is a unified incident command center, which is involved in these demonstrations.”

Left-wing academics, have in the meantime, antifa defended. Ruth Ben-Ghiat, professor of history at New York University, told The New York Times that the antifa tend to be the tactic of physically attacking political opponents to attack to negative press only because the right-wing media is that it is very unfair on you.

“Throw in a milk shake is not to kill the equivalent of someone, but because the people in power connected with the law, any provocation, each of said dissent against right-wing violence, let’s go back,” Ben-Ghiat,.
