West Virginia Governor fires education Secretary, wife of U.S. Sen Joe Manchin

West Virginia Gov. Jim Justice Gayle Manchin, the state Secretary of education and culture has caused, after offered his resignation.

Manchin, the wife of U.S. Sen. Joe Manchin, D-W. Va., a statement released Monday to criticize House Bill 4006, which will make your position and the Department, the USA Today reported. The bill went to the state Senate on Friday.

“In an obvious hurry to score partisan points, the Republican state legislature dangerous and destructive legislation passed to eliminate the office of education and the arts, on a mostly party-line vote,” Manchin wrote.

Democratic critics of the bill said it was a “political Trick” to targeting Manchin, Charleston Gazette-Mail reported.

Manchin had called for justice to a veto for the “reckless and politically motivated legislation”, or work with the Agency to solve in a “responsible and compassionate way,” should he decide to move forward with the bill.
