Dozens of people were injured and two people were killed in Chicago, Ill., in 33 separate incidents at the weekend where shots were fired, police said.
At least 40 people were wounded in the gunfire in the early Saturday morning, according to police reports obtained by Fox News.
On Saturday, around 3:15 p.m., a 19-year-old man who was standing on a sidewalk in Humboldt Park, which is on the west side of Chicago, a group of men when shots were fired, police said. She said the teen was shot and killed in the pit, and transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
In Humboldt Park, and about 15 minutes later, police said, a 47-year-old man was inside a vehicle when an unknown assailant” approached the victim and fired shots.

The man was struck twice and transported to an area hospital in critical condition. He was pronounced dead shortly thereafter.
The police said that no one is in custody in either case.
Authorities say a drive-by shooting on Chicago’s West Side early Sunday injured six people, including one who was reported in critical condition.
Chicago police said the five women and one man were part of a large crowd gathered in the street in the Garfield Park neighborhood when someone inside a light-colored sedan and opened fire.
The 25-year-old man was taken to a local hospital and is in critical condition with a gunshot wound to the back. All three women were admitted to the hospital in stable condition.
No arrests have been made in the case, and the shooting remains under investigation by the detectives.
Another drive-by shooting was reported, and later, on a Sunday, which is an 8-year-old girl who was struck, according to Chicago police.
She said the girl was at a barbecue in Humboldt Park on the West Side, 3:55 p.m. when someone in a blue Dodge Charger drove by and opened fire, hitting her in the leg.

A witness told Fox 32 that the little girl was outside, playing in addition to her mother when the gunmen drove by in the blue car.
“They are the reason the block a few times, but for the first time, we felt that it was ok, because we are familiar with all of them,” she told the television station. “After that, they went around a second time and a third time, he laughed at us, and then I heard six to 10 shots.”
She added that the police have just been for the gunners, who are in their car and they drove off.

She said: “no one is in custody in this case.
