She continued to tell me that she explained to the guy that mentioned how uncomfortable it made her. Even though she acknowledges that it sounded “quite frankly, I’m sorry,” she concluded her story by posting, “I told him that I appreciated his passion for customer service, but he was able to send a message to the chain, and that it was nothing short of horrifying, and he readily agreed to do so.”

In a statement to Fox News, a spokesman for the Wayfair and said: “We have recently tested an outgoing call to one of a very small number – less than 1 per cent of the customers in order for them to help you in the shopping process. However, we do not make any outgoing calls on the basis of the real-time activity on the site. In all cases, the customer will receive an introductory email from the team prior to each of the phone outreach.
