Teens rob store while clerk a deposit with medical emergency
Raw Video: Three young men rob a gas station, grocery store if the clerk suffers a medical emergency and falls into a screen.
The police in Washington state said Tuesday that they have identified two teenagers who robbed a convenience store after an employee collapsed with a life-threatening medical problem.
Auburn Police said the teenagers ran into a Shell station with an adult male on Saturday afternoon. One of the teens took a pepperoni stick from the counter and begin to eat, then gave a second for his friend.
When the man tried to buy another item, police said the employee tried him for the two pepperoni sticks. An argument broke out for one of the teenagers offered the clerk a dollar bill. Wroth, the clerk came around the counter to confront the teenagers.
After a short conversation, the clerk turned to return to the register, only to stumble and collapse. The adult male left the store, and one of the teens grabbed the dollar bill out of his hand.
The teens in the first instance the store, but each of them returned to steal merchandise, and emptied the store cash register. One of the teens could be seen on the surveillance video stepping over to the clerk before leaving the store.
The police said that another customer, that the store after the boys left, 911. They added that the clerk is still alive, but in critical condition.
It was not immediately clear whether any of the trio had been arrested or accused of a crime.
