An 85-year-old Washington state woman attempted suicide Thursday after allegedly killing one of her roommates, and the shooting of another, authorities said.

Federal Way police responded at about 1 pm, a phone call from a woman who said she was in her own house, and Cmdr. Kurt Schwan, told KOMO News.

Officers arrived and found the shooting victim, along with another woman who had died of what appeared to be blunt force trauma, police said. Two of the victims were in their 30s.

The shooting of the victim, who is expected to survive, was taken to Harborview Medical Center, where she told the police that their 85-year-old, a member of the household have been involved in the attack, Q13 FOX reported.

The police later found that the public, the 85-year-old woman, telling local media that she had tried to strangle himself to death with an electrical cord. Detectives arrested and interviewed the suspect, but no charges were immediately available.

While the motive is still unclear, the police are called to a domestic violence situation.
