Nearly three dozen former presidential campaign staff for Elizabeth Warren endorsed sen Bernie Sanders on Tuesday, saying the democratic-socialist from Vermont is the “best option” for Warren Democrats, as a Warren even mom remains on a potential 2020 approval.
Thirty-five of the Warren campaign alumni signed on to a letter Tuesday endorsed Sanders, I-Vt., less than a week after Warren, D-Mass., suspended her presidential candidacy.
“We, the undersigned former employees and fellows of the Warren for President, who are ready to get back in the fight for a just and progressive future,” she wrote. “Therefore, the best option for Warren Democrats right now is the support of Bernie Sanders for President is, in addition to the fight for Democratic victories on the line in the Senate, House and local races.”
