VUmc conducts research on quality of sleep in hospital
The medical center will, in collaboration with the Erasmus MC for research into the sleep of hospital patients.
Patients out of forty hospitals, from all over the country will soon be at breakfast in a questionnaire in which they are to answer questions about their last night’s sleep, reports The Parool Wednesday.
According to lead researcher dr. Prabath Nanayakkara plays the ziekenhuisritme a large role in the often poor sleep of the patients. “Sick people need their sleep just desperately needed. With the results of the research, we can sleep in hospitals to improve.”
It is intended that a total of almost 2,000 patients participating in the research. When the research will start is not published, because this may be the results may affect.
