Vonn booking on descent first wereldbekerzege after comeback
Lindsey Vonn has Saturday, its first victory of the season booked. The American was surprisingly the strongest on the wereldbekerafdaling in the German Garmisch-enkirchen.
The 32-year-old Vonn was there almost a year because of a knee injury and a armbreuk that they incurred in the preparation for this season and returned last week back in competition.
They are fourth in Germany its 77th wereldbekerzege, which they still have nine victories is the record of the Swede Ingemar Stenmark.
The Swiss Lara Gut had to 0.15 second admit on Vonn only her second race of the season skiede. The German Viktoria Rebensburg finished third.
“Incredibly, I have no words for. I have not only the competition, but also myself surprised. I’ve given everything, it was hard for all to take risks.”
The Slovenian Ilka Stuhec, a leader in the stand on the downhill, finished eighth in Garmisch-enkirchen. The American Mikaela Shiffrin was missing in Germany, but remains well in front in the general wereldbekerstand.
Vonn seems to be the form at exactly the right time to have found back. About two weeks in Sankt Moritz in the world CHAMPIONSHIPS held.
