Vitesse coach Leonid Slutsky has praised goalkeeper Kjell Hone of FC Emmen. The eighteen-year-old keeper hit this week, his brother lost, but came Sunday, still in action for his club.
“He is a hero by just three days after such a tragedy to play,” said Slutsky after the end of the match against Emmen at FOX Sports. “He is a strong boy.”
The only twenty-year-old Jorg Hone died last Tuesday. He was more than a month in a coma after a cardiac arrest. Prior to the duel on The Old Meerdijk, was an impressive minute of silence held.

“I think he has great potential”, continued the Russian. “He is only eighteen years old and I think he has a great future.”

“The contest was different than normal’
FC Emmen lost the game with 0-3, by goals from Mohammed Dauda, Martin Ödegaard and Navarone Foor. Trainer Dick Lukkien of the Drenthe team tasted that the atmosphere in the stadium was by the death of the brother of Hone.
