“We had an unruly passenger who insisted on smoking on board,” a Vistara spokesperson said that the New Indian Express. “He was issued a warning letter from the captain and later discharged when he refused to comply with the traffic safety rules. Vistara regrets the delay.”

The same plane was also forced to run during the Delhi-Amritsar leg of her service, when a passenger asked to be transhipped with his family due to a personal emergency. The incident also led to a delay of a few hours.
