Visitors and animals unharmed after fire in British zoo

A large zoo in the English Upton-by-Chester was Saturday hit by a major fire. All visitors and animals remained unharmed.

All animals were in good time, in safety, and also all the visitors were evacuated.

In the space where the fire raged, is a sub-tropical climate simulated with temperatures around 26 degrees. In the so-called Monsoon Forest life include crocodiles, orang-utans and macaques.

The Chester Zoo is the most popular zoo in the United Kingdom, and is regarded as a tourist attraction. Each year, the zoo has in the north west of England, more than two million visitors.
