Virginia police dog named “hero” after finding children lost in the woods “within 15 minutes”

Police officers in Virginia are praising one of their K-9s for locating two missing children in the woods Saturday. Thanks to the pup impressive nose, the young children were not lost for long.

The Powhatan Sheriff’s Office said a K-9 with the name Bane was able to take the two children, both 8 year — within a few minutes after she was lost while playing a game.

The parents of the children and the neighbours were frantically looking for the children for 45 minutes, when they decided to call the police. Delegates and Bane together to search for the children, but Bane was a success after he lost two children within 15 minutes of entering the forest.

Chloe Reese, one of the children I have lost, told WRIC they “don’t know what to do”, when she and her brother went too far in the forest.

“So, if we forget about what road we went down, so we go through different paths to try to find the way back to our house,” Reese said.

The police called it a “job well done” and treated the Dutch Shepherd and the belgian Malinois mix to an ice cream from Chick-fil-A, WRIC reported.
