View: Officer crawls over partially frozen pond to save dog

A police officer saved a dog who fell through the ice.

A New Jersey police officer made a dog of the owner of Christmas by creeping into a partially frozen pond to save her beloved pet a few days before the holiday.

Officer Robert Voorhees of the Cemetery, New Jersey slowly its way across a frozen pond to rescue the dog, called Nisel, who had fallen through the ice and couldn’t get out.

The rescue was captured by an officer’s body camera.

Voorhees confirmed themselves to a rope and made his way to the edge of the pond. The dog swam in the direction of the officer who grabbed her by the collar.

The officer and the dog were then pulled to safety by other officers.

Fortunately, the animal was not seriously injured. They warmed up and reunited with her owner, who repeatedly thanks and a hug from the officer.
