Video shows failed subway bombing, the response of the police

NEW YORK – Newly released security video of a failed suicide attack in the New York city subway system gives a more complete picture of the response of the police.

The recording was posted online by WNBC-TV on Tuesday, and shows a sudden flash of a part of a tube detonated the bomb that sends commuters on the flight of a busy road in the centre of Manhattan in December.

The wounded suspect bombing is seen down on the ground for about six minutes when police officers assess the situation. Six officers, and two military guards approach with drawn guns, but retreat after apparently seeing the explosive.

Officers returned about two minutes later and handcuff the bombing suspect and search him.

Bangladesh immigrant Akayed Ullah is responsible for the implementation of the attack in the name of the Islamic State of the group. He pleaded not guilty to terrorism charges.
