A Missouri veteran, putting on a “Make America Great Again” hat and waving an American flag, has walked 15 km almost every day for a year in the hope to show everyone how much he loves his country.

Elliot Timm ‘ was spotted on Wednesday the performed in Kansas City, a year after he started his now familiar routine of running 15 miles carrying the flag.

“With the support for the president and his patriotic should be a given in our country,” Timm ‘ he said.

“For me, the American flag has always been a unifier, not a divider,” Timm ‘ added. “This display of patriotism is just a small act of humility, hardship, and sacrifice, to express my devotion and surrender to the love of the country. It is my way of showing the entire land of America, and an American, means to me.”

The veteran, who served two tours in Afghanistan, has been running for 15 km almost every day, regardless of the weather. Although he usually makes his daily runs in Kansas City, he has also performed his patriotic runs in Washington, D. C. three times.

Timm ‘ said that he hopes that his display of patriotism will overshadow the negativity of other American citizens.

“I am countering the voices of negativity and defeatism in our country with a more uplifting, proud and powerful gesture of patriotism, because those negative voices do not speak for all of America,” he said.

He added: “If people see me walk across the landscape with the American flag, maybe it will cause them to pause for a moment and consider the meaning, the value and the importance of that flag, and that our country represents.”

Timm ‘ said he was “humbled and gain a sense of pride” of people who have supported his work.

He is expected to head to Alaska to continue his patriotic.
