Veerle Baetens is part of the cast of ‘Rabbit’, a psychological thriller from the Australian author and director Luke Shanahan.
Baetens, currently resides in Adelaide, in southern Australia, where the recordings until the end of October to take place. It reports the Flemish Audiovisual Fund.
The screenplay, also written by Luke Shanahan, follows the 25-year-old student Maude Ashton a year after the violent abduction of her twin sister Cleo still haunted by what happened. When they are after a vivid dream of a trail to an abandoned campsite – convinced that Cleo is still alive – will she discover that her fate is inextricably linked with that of her sister.
The main role is played by Adelaide Clemens, who in recent years was to be seen in “X-Men Origins: Wolverine’, ‘The Great Gatsby’ and the tv series ‘Rectify’. Other roles are there for Alex Russell (Unbroken, The Host), Jonny Pasvolsky (Mortdecai, McLeod’s Daughters), and Charles Mayer, with whom Baetens in the film an unusual couple plays.
