Instinct, that was the directorial debut of Halina Reijn at the Locarno film festival’s Variety Piazza Grande Award. The distributor is a Saturday well-known.
The prize is awarded by a panel of judges, consisting of editors of the American entertainmenttijdschrift Variety.
The magazine was established in 1905 and founded in and is regarded worldwide as one of the most influential titles in the field of feature films, series, media, and entertainment. In addition, it gave the film a Special Mention in the debuutcompetitie.

We are deeply grateful and filled with joy that so many of our delicate and intimate film, worldwide, to embrace it. Variety is an institution that we respect and admire to look at it.”

Film will open the Dutch Film Festival.
Earlier this week, it was announced that the film will be in mid-september and will be shown at the film festival in Toronto. On september 27th, opens the Instinct of the Dutch Film Festival.
Esther Gerritsen wrote the screenplay for the film. Marwan Kenzari will play the other lead role in the psychological thriller about the relationship between a psychiatrist and a forensic patient.
