Anneke van Zanen-Nieberg will be next month normally chosen as the new chairman of NOC*NSF. The 55-year-old former treasurer of the sports association is the only candidate for the job.
On 15 april there will be an extra general meeting on the program where the election of Van Zanen-Nieberg the main item on the agenda.
The former handbalster – she played four years in Young Orange – was at the end of march on the advice of a confidential committee by the board of NOC*NSF proposed to André Bolhuis.
The 72-year-old former hockey player stops after nine years as president of the Dutch sports association. It is intended that Van Zanen-Nieberg from 20 may, the baton over from Bolhuis.
Members of the NOC*NSF had until march 18, the time to a different candidate, but that has not happened.
Van Zanen was the chairman of the board of directors, Baker Tilly Netherlands, a company in financial services. That function returns them after clearing agreement with her current employer for the unpaid presidency of the NOC*NSF.
