The Northern Irish singer and guitarist Van Morrison is added to the line-up of North Sea Jazz festival 2017. The 71-year-old musician is on 9 July in Ahoy Rotterdam.

Van Morrison began his career by playing in various groups, such as The Monarchs and Them. His big breakthrough came really when he solozanger started to work.

The song Brown eyed girl (1967), was a big hit in the Netherlands. Also are albums Days like this, Avalon Sunset, and his greatest hits album, Still on top scored good. Morrison worked in his career together with, among others, Richard Davis, Tom Jones and B. B. King.

The final album of Van Morrison came in 2016, Keep Me Singing. That plate know in the Netherlands, no charts. In 2015 was the singer-songwriter still in the Heineken Music Hall.

Van Morrison is a plusconcert of the North Sea Jazz festival, which means that visitors in addition to a regular ticket a separate ticket purchase for this concert.

Line-up

With Van Morrison in the line-up for North Sea Jazz becoming more and more complete. Earlier this month, it announced that the jazz festival all Jamie Lidell, Norah Jones, George Benson, Steve Winwood, Herbie Hancock, and the comeback of Jamiroquai.

The coming months will be more names announced. The North Sea Jazz festival took place on 7, 8 and 9 July in Ahoy Rotterdam.
