Michael van Gerwen on Saturday night, just before his first match at the world CHAMPIONSHIP darts in London pelted with beer. The contest in the second round against the Englishman Alan Tabern was a delay.
The 29-year-old Van Gerwen was all ready to take to the stage to walk away, when he took a good amount of beer on him, got thrown. The incident disrupted a large part of his preparation for the race.
A visibly excited Van Gerwen had to of shirt swapping and ran after a few minutes delay still with tears in his eyes to the stage, where his opponent Tabern already on him was waiting.
Profbond PDC has in a statement to let you know that the perpetrator is identified and from the Alexandra Palace in London is set. The PDC emphasized in addition that such behaviour will not be tolerated.

First party on the world cup for Van Gerwen
For Van Gerwen is taking with Tabern his first match at the world cup, because the number one of the world did in the first round, not in action. The 52-year-old Tabern reached the second round by Raymond Smith on Friday with a 3-2 defeat.
Last year Van Gerwen in the semi-finals at the world CHAMPIONSHIPS, where he lost to the eventual world champion Rob Cross. The 28-year-old Englishman won the tournament by Phil Taylor in the final to defeat.
