Michael van Gerwen and Raymond van Barneveld have Tuesday the third round, achieved at the world CHAMPIONSHIP darts in London’s Alexandra Palace.

Van Gerwen didn’t play bad, but because his Spanish opponent Cristo Reyes was better than ever, it was still exciting (4-2). Van Barneveld was a bit too big for Alan Norris (4-0).

In that third round awaits Van Barneveld Wednesday, former world champion Adrian Lewis. Van Gerwen should be Thursday up against Darren Webster.

By his convincing victory can Van Barneveld confidently look forward to the confrontation Wednesday with Lewis, the 30-year-old Englishman who, in 2011 and 2012 and the world title conquered. Against the 44-year-old Norris was the Dutch world champion of 2007 in the first three sets and not even a lay off.

A smooth victory seemed in the making when he first set 3-0 to his side. Reyes did not, however, discourage and came strongly back. When Van Gerwen a few doubles missed, struck the 29-year-old Reyes directly. He threw all his doubles touch and won the second set with 3-0.
