Michael van Gerwen and Raymond van Barneveld have Tuesday the third round, achieved at the world CHAMPIONSHIP darts in London’s Alexandra Palace.

Van Gerwen didn’t play bad, but because his Spanish opponent Cristo Reyes was better than ever, it was still exciting (4-2). Van Barneveld was a bit too big for Alan Norris (4-0).

In that third round awaits Van Barneveld Wednesday, former world champion Adrian Lewis. Van Gerwen should be Thursday up against Darren Webster.

By his convincing victory can Van Barneveld confidently look forward to the confrontation Wednesday with Lewis, the 30-year-old Englishman who, in 2011 and 2012 and the world title conquered. Against the 44-year-old Norris was the Dutch world champion of 2007 in the first three sets and not even a lay off.

In the fourth set came Norris still 2-1 in legs, but then pulled Van Barneveld the set and thus the match is still an impressive way to (3-0, 3-0, 3-0 and 3-2).

The 49-year-old Of Barneveld threw a total of seven times 180 points and was at the decisive moments, sharp on the doubles. He ended by 121 to throw out and his average was 103,6.

Van Gerwen

The average Van Gerwen (105,2) was still higher in his match against Reyes, but the Spaniard threw much better (106,1). The match results were 3-0, 0-3, 3-2, 3-1, 2-3, and 3-2. In terms of averages, it was even the second best party ever at a world cup.

Ten days after his smooth victory in the first round of the Finnish darts player Kim Viljanen (3-0) started Van Gerwen strongly against Reyes

A smooth victory seemed in the making when he first set 3-0 to his side. Reyes did not, however, discourage and came strongly back. When Van Gerwen a few doubles missed, struck the 29-year-old Reyes directly. He threw all his doubles touch and won the second set with 3-0.

Outrageous darts just now. Look at Reyes average against MvG and he lost! Otherworldly. ???????? ???????? ????…
