Van Gerwen beat Gurney in final US Darts Masters
Michael van Gerwen in the night from Saturday to Sunday, the first edition of the US Darts Masters won. The Dutchman was in Las Vegas in the finals with 8-6 to strong for the Northern Irishman Daryl Gurney.
On the way to the final battle won Van Gerwen in the quarter-finals simply by Dave Richardson (8-1) and in the semi-final he was not put against Gerwyn Price (8-0). Raymond van Barneveld ended in the quarter-finals against the Scot Gary Anderson (8-4).
Van Gerwen ended the final against Gurney with an average of 101. The world champion started well in the competition and came in with 2-0. The 31-year-old Gurney, who in the semi-finals surprisingly debunked Anderson, however, came back and led halfway, even with 3-5.
Then the word was again to Van Gerwen, who order affairs, and four legs in a row, picked up. ‘Mighty Mike’ finished the party with a 98 finish, and then he in addition to the trophy, also $ 45,000 (39.400 euro) and a car received.
