Van Gerwen aims to acquire revenge in the Premier League match with Wright

Michael van Gerwen aast Thursday night to settle the score in his Premier League match with Peter Wright. The world champion will recover after a bad week in the qualifiers of the UK Open.

Van Gerwen lost last week in Wigan fewer than three times, including a match against Wright. The last time that the Shot managed to beat the Dutchman, it was a year and a half ago. All 16 of the mutual the parties then decided to Van Gerwen in his favor.

“It goes without saying that I’ll win, but I’m not a robot. Last week, everyone can see that I simply am a human being too. I must continue to work hard,” says Van Gerwen on the site of dartsbond PDC.

The 27-year-old Dutchman saw last week, his string of 37 consecutive victories to stop after a 6-6 draw with Gary Anderson in the first round of the Premier League.

Van Gerwen hopes that his disappointing week Thursday can convert into profit at Wright. “I enjoy always when I Wright should play. He is a fantastic darts player and I know that I have to be at my best to beat him.”

Wright knew in the qualifiers of the UK Open two of the three parties to win. The Shot realize that it is not going to be easy for Van Gerwen Thursday in Nottingham again to beat.

“That’s good, because I hope on a great match,” said Wright. “Michael is the beating darter. The rest have to do everything to avoid that he has all the wins.”

In contrast to Van Gerwen knew Wright are openingsduel in the Premier League to win. Jelle Klaasen dolf in Newcastle the worst of it against the number three of the world: 7-4.

Klaasen plays Thursday against the losing world cup finalist Anderson, Raymond van Barneveld takes on Kim Huybrechts.
