Van der Mark ninth in first race of new season world Superbike

Michael van der Mark is Saturday at the Australian Phillip Island as a ninth finish in the first race of the new season in the world Superbike.
The Rotterdam-based motorcycle racer gave up on his Yamaha twelve seconds to the winner and reigning champion Jonathan Rea (Kawasaki).
The Brit was on the podium flanked by his compatriots Chaz Davies (Ducati) and Tom Sykes (Kawasaki).
Van der Mark begins his third season in the championship of the heavy 1000cc engines. He now rides for Yamaha. Last year, the Dutchman is still fourth in the gc on behalf of Honda.
The second race at Phillip Island on Sunday. The world Superbike introduces a new starting order for the voltage to increase.
The number four from race one starts from pole position, while the winner of the first race only from the ninth place should leave. Van der Mark will start this Sunday at place six on Phillip Island.
