A Utah woman, was Thursday arrested after she allegedly locked her two children in the trunk of her car while she went shopping at Walmart.
Tori Castillo, 39, faces four counts of child abuse with bodily injury and one count of theft, Fox 13 reported. Two women told police that they were in the Walmart parking lot in Riverdale when she heard children’s voices coming from the car.
“I could hear some children crying,” the woman told Fox 13.
“I went to my friend, and I want to ‘There are people in this tribe. Children in this tribe!'”

“I started talking with the girl I could hear screaming,” she said. “She was [shouting], ‘Mom, let me out! Let me out! Mom!!! Help!” She was screaming, crying.”
Four people worked to rescue the children as they screamed for help. One of the women led the children to the emergency lock on the inside of the hull. Finally shot open.
“Both children just came out… they just jumped out at us,” the woman told the station. “A woman took the 2-year-old, I took the 5-year-old.”

Castillo eventually back to the parking lot and allegedly told the women the reason for locking her children in the trunk was because the “babysitter didn’t show up.”
A witness later said she saw Castillo clasp of her children in the trunk of the car before walking into the store.
The children were transferred to a “responsible person” of the Division of Child and Family Services said.
