Us Senate votes to abolish Obamacare
A majority in the U.s. Senate on Wednesday voted against the plans of president Donald Trump to the social services of his predecessor, Barack Obama to abolish. Many Republicans voted against it, because they find that there is still no acceptable alternative.
The bill by the Senate was treated was the most recent attempt by Trump to the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA), better known as Obamacare, to break off.
The senators voted with 44-55 vote against the abolition. Under the no-voters were seven Republicans. The ‘Grand Old y’ has 52 of the one hundred senators but a small majority in the Senate. The Democrats voted unanimously against it, reports The New York Times.
If the proposal by the mood had come, would the Senators two years the time have been given to an alternative social services.
The first version of an alternative social services, Trumpcare called, was the beginning of this year, rejected in the House of Representatives. A second attempt had more success, but ran into objections in the Senate.
A modified version of the plan was once again not on a majority count. A large number of senators Trumps own Republican y was the alternative social services is not sufficient. Critics denounced the short length and limited intent of the hastily drawn up plans.
The next step for the Republican party-leadership is probably preparing a slimmed down version of the afschaffingsplannen, which allows them to onderhandelingscommissie of the Senate and the House of Representatives.
That ‘stripped-down bill will likely focus on the abolition of the statutory obligation on the closing of a health insurance and a tax on medical devices. That would mean that the largest part of the ACA provisionally maintained.
This has made Obamacare the US brought
No health insurance
Last week, the Republican Senaatsvoorzitter Mitch McConnell a bill that provides for the elimination of large parts of Obamacare without having something immediately in its place would come.
According to the calculations of an independent public body that would, however, ensure that, within a few years, approximately 22 to 32 million Americans without health insurance would get stuck. Many Republican senators found that too risky, their battle for re-election in 2018 to remember.
There is the American president of the social services of its predecessor to the trash to refer to. It was one of his major election during the presidentsrace of last year. Trump did everything to his followers to convince for the abolition of Obamacare, to vote, whether or not without replacement.
“We are close, very close,” said Trump during a meeting at 49 of the 52 Republican senators. “For seven years, you have the people promised Obamacare will eliminate. People get hurt if not now continue: doing nothing is, frankly, not an option.”
The Republicans want all seven years that Obamacare will be repealed. According to the Republicans is the social services of the previous president to be too costly and interfere the government too much with the insurance of Americans.
Obamacare made sure that tens of millions of uninsured Americans now have insurance. Trumpcare would undo this and also a lot of rich extra advantage.
Why does Trump like Obamacare? And why isn’t it?
