DALLAS – Dallas police say a U.s. Postal Service employee has been found shot to death in a mail truck along a busy highway.
The police issued a statement Monday saying the case is being investigated as a murder.
Police say officers found the body of the worker inside the government vehicle early Monday morning after responding to a report of shooting along Interstate 30 near downtown Dallas. The U. S. Postal Service has two large complexes in the area.
Researchers say that no arrests have been made and that they’re still trying to determine a motive for the shooting.
The name of the victim is not released yet.
Dallas police and the U. S. Postal Inspection Service are investigating. Inspector Amanda McMurrey had no immediate information on Monday about the victim, or where the federal employee was traveling.
